Heroes and Horses gives combat veterans an alternative path to healing that reaches beyond medication and traditional therapy. Through challenging backcountry experiences and work with horses, the program helps veterans confront their physical and emotional scars, rediscover inner strength, and rebuild a sense of purpose—inviting them to take ownership of their lives in a new way after leaving service.
