Las Oncas is dedicated to the long-term monitoring of jaguars in Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula and the Talamanca Mountain Range. The organization works to protect jaguar habitats by maintaining and expanding a conservation reserve that safeguards critical wild spaces. Its activities focus on wildlife research, habitat conservation, and preventing the loss of natural areas to agriculture and urban development.
