Kai Lermer Memorial Fund
Chimere’s high school best friend’s parents started this foundation – honoring the memory of Kai, who died from an undiagnosed heart condition.
The Waukesha County Community Foundation’s The Kai Lermer Memorial Fund, created in memory of Waukesha teen Kai Lermer, raises awareness about sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and advocates for increased access to heart screenings for youth. Kai passed away in 2019 from an undiagnosed heart condition, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, which could have been detected through EKG testing. His family and friends are dedicated to ensuring other young lives are saved through education, advocacy, and awareness.

Lane Johnson is helping veterans rediscover purpose through service

Lane Johnson was deeply moved by veterans and Gold Star families who shared how meaningful service after the military can rebuild purpose and connection. That’s why he’s championing the Travis Manion Foundation, where veterans mentor students and strengthen character in communities nationwide. By uplifting those who continue to lead long after the uniform comes off, Lane is honoring America’s heroes and helping ensure they have the support and purpose they deserve.
